First there were the Rus, known to us from reports written by Greeks trading, above the Black Sea, with folks who traded with the Rus. After this brief appearance, the Rus disappear from history. Later there were folks calling themselves Ruskie, known to those living to the West as Russians. Then there were Czars, Commmisars, and Capitalists. This is the History of Russia.

It was bigger than the present day Russian Federation.
